A time to Remember

Support The Poppy Appeal 2005

At 11am on the 11th day of the 11th Month in 1918 the guns of what became known as the First World War fell silent as the armistice was signed.

This is the time when we remember those who gave their lives in the defence of our country, not only in the First World War, but in all wars – and is used by the Royal British Legion to rally support around the symbol of the Poppy, raising money to help those ex-servicemen and women

2005 also marks the 60th anniversary of the end of the second world war – 1945 – so please take time to remember those who gave their lives to ensure our freedom.
