It appears that the authorities have realised that excessive speed is not the only cause of accidents on our roads. “Blind” drivers (those who’se eyesight is below the required standard set out in the law) are now being targetted in South Wales.

Excellent, maybe this’ll be the start of a series of similar initiatives, where drivers are not only tested for their eye-sight, but their “motoring IQ” – in other words, how well they know the rules of the road, e.g. being in the correct lane at roundabouts, signalling, what a “bus” is (for when driving in bus lanes), how a mobile phone may be used in a car etc…
